Marcia Lebhar has been involved in Christian Education, of one sort or another, for her whole life and career. As a volunteer leader for FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools), as an associate staff member for Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, as a discipler of the small saints under her own roof, as a teacher trainer and Bible teacher in both church and secondary schools, Marcia’s passion has always been to share the treasure of the Scriptures.
In 1993 Marcia became the third full-time Director of CMJ USA (then called Shoresh USA) and oversaw a period of expansion in the US with a particular emphasis on getting global Anglican leadership to study in CMJ’s Israel-based study program. Retired from CMJ USA since 2000, Marcia now serves as an educational consultant and a frequent conference speaker. Her column, Discipleship Journal, can be found on the web site of the Gulf Atlantic Diocese of the Anglican Church in America. http://gulfatlanticdiocese.org . Marcia is the wife of the diocesan bishop, Rt. Rev. Neil Lebhar. They have four children and five grandchildren. Marcia and Neil have led many tours to Israel and next to their role as grandparents, their role as frequent tour leaders is still their favorite.
