Leadership


	Emily Exler , Executive Administrator Emily Exler completed her Master’s degree in Biblical Studies last May at Trinity School for Ministry, working for CMJ USA during her senior year. Emily is a member of Shoresh David Messianic Congregation in Pittsburgh, and is called to share the transforming love of Yeshua with fellow Jewish brothers and sisters, especially those in the Orthodox communities. She loves studying Hebrew, leading Davidic dance, reading the Book of Leviticus, and walking her dog, Bug! Emily did her undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh and worked in banking before attending seminary.
	The Rev. Canon Daryl Fenton , National Director Daryl, a graduate of Wheaton College and Trinity School for Ministry, assumed his duties as CMJ USA National Director in July 2011, joining the faithful CMJ workers who for over 200 years have advanced the Kingdom among Jewish people. In accepting the call, Canon Fenton stated, "Sharing the transforming love of Jesus with Jewish people is work to which the Lord first called me 30 years ago."
	Richard Hastings , Vice-Chairman Rich was chairman of the 2004 Heart of America Billy Graham Crusade and served as chair of the building committee of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the First Baptist Church of Raytown, MO. He has led civic organizations and is the recipient of the Presidential Medallion from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Judy have led numerous Shoresh study tours to Israel, are adult education teachers and have two grown children.
	The Rev. John Howenstine , Secretary Since the late 1980’s, John and his wife Catherine have been deeply impacted by and increasingly involved with CMJ, with their heart in Jerusalem and in the Land. A strong parish partnership strives to express encouragement for CMJ with steadfast prayer, finances, onsite support, and multiplying such CMJ partnership amongst congregations and individuals. John has been blessed by CMJ-Israel sabbaticals, and he and Catherine have hosted numerous parish study tours, directed each summer Vacation Bible Club at Christ Church Jerusalem, sent forth workers (including their daughter!), and make regular visitations to CMJ-Israel to provide onsite support and encouragement. John and Catherine have two married daughters and one grandson. They are seeking to hear how the LORD may be calling them into deeper partnership with the worldwide CMJ family.
	Mrs. Marcia Lebhar Marcia Lebhar has been involved in Christian Education, of one sort or another, for her whole life and career. As a volunteer leader for FOCUS (Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools), as an associate staff member for Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, as a discipler of the small saints under her own roof, as a teacher trainer and Bible teacher in both church and secondary schools, Marcia’s passion has always been to share the treasure of the Scriptures. In 1993 Marcia became the third full-time Director of CMJ USA (then called Shoresh USA) and oversaw a period of expansion in the US with a particular emphasis on getting global Anglican leadership to study in CMJ’s Israel-based study program. Retired from CMJ USA since 2000, Marcia now serves as an educational consultant and a frequent conference speaker. Marcia is the wife of the diocesan bishop, Rt. Rev. Neil Lebhar. They have four children and five grandchildren. Marcia and Neil have led many tours to Israel and next to their role as grandparents, their role as frequent tour leaders is still their favorite.
	The Rt. Rev. Neil G. Lebhar The Rev. Neil G. Lebhar grew up in Westport, Conn. He has been rector of the Church of Redeemer (Anglican) in Jacksonville, Florida since 1988. Neil loves the Lord, his family, and his calling to teach the Scriptures and lead in Biblical renewal, worship, outreach and fellowship. Neil and his wife Marcia were married in 1971 and they have a son Peter at FSU and two married daughters, Sarah (married to Jon Hall), and Katie (married to Paul Black). Sarah and her husband Jon Hall have a son Benjamin and a daughter Miriam. The Lebhars also have a married foster daughter named Dawn Thompson who has two sons and a daughter. Neil served as assistant rector of Truro Church in Fairfax, Virginia from 1979-1988. Before seminary Neil was the field director of the Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools (FOCUS), a ministry to private school students. Neil came to faith in the Messiah through the ministry of FOCUS while a senior at the Loomis School in Connecticut, his home state. He has led countless trips to Israel. Neil was vice-chairman of the Jacksonville Billy Graham Crusade in 2000. Neil received his B.A. from Princeton University (1972) and his Master’s degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (1976) and Virginia Seminary (1978). Most of all, Neil is an accomplished and lifelong sinner and therefore a very grateful recipient of the grace and mercy of God.
	Amy Mason , Prayer Team Coordinator A history major in college, Amy became fascinated with biblical history as a new beleiver in 1973. That same year she heard a Messianic leader, Sid Roth, speak about his coming to faith in Yeshua, and has been praying for the Jewish people to come to faith in Yeshua ever since. Now a retired librarian, Amy has spent the major part of her career serving at Trinity School for Ministry Library. An unexpected opportunity to combine her interests in Jewish evangelsim with librarianship appeared in 2006, some months after her husband's death. While on the CMJ/Shoresh "Roots of Faith Tour," Amy's tour group visited the fledgling Conrad Schick Library at Christ Church in Jerusalem. She was invited to work there as a volunteer librarian to help preserve the library's rare books and documents. It has been her joy to study CMJ's history and to work in the library for a few weeks in 2007, 2009, and most recently in January 2012. She has helped raise money for the library's supply fund and has organized a prayer support team for CMJ. Amy lives in Ambridge, PA. She has twin daughters and 8 grandchildren.
	Dr. Theresa Newell , Chairman Theresa was called to Jewish ministry on her first trip to Israel in June 1976. By 1980 she was invited to open the first American office of CMJ, The Church’s Ministry among Jewish People, which had been headquartered in England since 1809. Since that time, Theresa has led over fifty biblical study tours to Israel and today serves on the CMJ International Board which oversees CMJ’s ministry centers in Israel. Theresa was North America Coordinator of the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism (LCJE) from 1999 to 2007. A journalist by training, Theresa completed a Masters in Biblical Studies (OT) and a Doctor of Ministry degree at Trinity School for Ministry, Ambridge, PA. From 1994 to 1997, she was Director of the Extension Department at Trinity and today serves as the Travel-study Director there. Theresa and her husband Bruce live in Sewickley, PA and, together, have eight children and 28 grandchildren.
	RADM Bruce Newell , Ret. , Treasurer Retired Navy Rear Admiral Bruce Newell has worked with several non-profit ministries as an administrator and financial consultant. Bruce was Associate Dean of Trinity School for Ministry, Ambridge, PA 1990-1996. Currently he teaches a Men’s Bible Study at St, Stephen’s Church in Sewickley, PA and writes commentaries for Bible Reading Fellowship.
	The Rt. Rev. Dr. John Rodgers , Jr. Bishop Rodgers served as Dean-President of Trinity Seminary in Ambridge, PA from 1978-1990 where he also was a professor of Systematic Theology. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Bishop Rodgers served in the Marine Corps before attending seminary. In 1963 he obtained a Doctor of Theology degree from the University of Basel, Switzerland where he studied under Karl Barth. He was consecrated Bishop of the Province of Southeast Asia January 29, 2000 and has served as a bishop in the Anglican Mission in America (AMiA) since that time. John served as a board member of CMJ USA since its inception in 1980. John is the author of The Theology of Peter Taylor Forsyth . His newest book awaiting publication is on the 39 Articles. John and his wife Blanche have four children and eight grandchildren and live in Cranberry Township, PA.
	Jim R. Sibley Jim Sibley, Director of the Pasche Institute of Jewish Studies, is also a faculty member and editor of Mishkan , an international journal dealing with the Gospel and the Jewish people. He has also been asked to serve as the North American Coordinator for the Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism. He formerly served as National Coordinator of Jewish Ministries for Southern Baptists’ North American Mission Board for 10 years. Prior to that assignment, Jim and his wife, Kathy, served as missionaries of what is now the International Mission Board, in Israel, for almost 14 years. He has taught courses related to Judaism and Jewish Evangelism as a guest professor at Southern Baptist seminaries and Bible colleges across North America. He has written articles about Jewish ministry and missions that have been published in Israel, England, and the United States. He has also been interviewed by the mass media including the Curtis Sliwa program on WABC (New York), Dennis Prager’s Radio Show, Janet Parshall’s America, the New York Times , Fox News Hour, and ABC’s 20/20. While in Israel, his children attended the Anglican International School, and he has had a long-standing appreciation for the heritage and present ministry of CMJ.
