It's Yeshua, not Yahshua

In this clip, Dr. Michael Brown answers a caller's question about how to say Jesus' name in Hebrew. His answer is thorough (and quite spirited).

As Brown points out, if we are unsure how to vocalize the Hebrew consonants from the first century, the Greek of the New Testament points us to the E sound. Yahshua is a made-up word. Below you can see how the Hebrew gets transliterated into Greek then into Latin, then into the English (and Spanish) spelling we know today.
